The following exchange has been removed from this thread for all time. After the Messenger exchange you will see below took place, I wrote the marketing manager and she scrubbed it for the benefit of future readers. But I have memorialized it here for all of you.
Both the marketing manager (author of the Healthy Wage responses in he Facebook thread) and I failed to get our correspondent to understand basic facts about the business. Not for lack of trying, however.
This person must have gotten a wicked case of the shits from a bad batch of network-marketed mangosteen juice.
I concealed the identity of this sufferer of anal inflammation. To this person: if you are reading this, I highly recommend Panaway essential oil, to be applied topically to the affected area. Contact my wife to get some—she distributes it. In fact, if you really like the stuff, you can join her distribution team!
Here’s the Facebook exchange between the three of us:

Here’s my conversation on Messenger, which I started after they said they wanted to join my “downflow”.
Honestly, I actually thought I had convinced my correspondent that Healthy Wage is not an MLM business. In my defense, there was no /s tag in the message. 😃

Oh shit—they were being sarcastic! Went over my head!

That’s when I emailed the marketing manager—she was still engaging with the person on Facebook. Who knows what response would come next?
But seriously, in the future I want to talk more about the type of comments people leave on the Facebook channels for Healthy Wage, which I and the other ambassadors try to answer.
Some of the criticisms are thoughtful and valid, and I try to respond respectfully to them. A particular favorite is from people who don’t approve of money being an appropriate motivator for losing weight. I’ll talk about motivation in another post—particularly how it relates to me and my journey.
